Gba is a trivia mobile game where players can win 5 times the amount of cash they wager by answering 5 consecutive questions correctly within a time limit. Winnings can be deposited straight into a player's bank account or used to play again. I designed and developed the interface within 2 weeks, tweaking and calibrating based on user feedback.
Quick, engaging and rewarding. Those were the major goals I aimed to achieve with the designed Gba. So simple for players could go from sign out winning (or losing) within 3 minutes.
Every design decision, from the playful Bungee font to the vibrant colour palette, was made to ensure the game looks easy and attractive. Engaging and fun micro-interactions were also crafted to enhance the overall user experience, making every moment of gameplay enjoyable.
User interviews and testing revealed a common desire for a variety of game modes, categories, and, most importantly, competitive elements. Players were eager to understand how their trivia skills compared to those of other players.
Within two weeks of launch, Gba attracted 450 active users playing both paid and free games daily. The game’s success was evident when it was hacked in its fourth week. Further user research revealed a strong interest in a multiplayer mode, which we promptly began developing.
